Dear R-Crisis managers,

My question is if AB06 attenuation law implemented in the R-Crisis includes the "Alternative Stress Parameters". And, in the affirmative case, what is/are the stress (bars) values that use the scale factor ? (See attach)

Additional, I would like to confirm me that the AB11 (Atkinson & Boore, 2011)  is not implemented in the last R-Crisis version.

Thank you too much for your support.

Best regards

Jackeline Huertas

Dear Jackeline,

Below, the answers:

Atkinson and Boore (2006)

I have already requested the revision of the "Alternative Stress Parameters" and I will notify you as soon I as possible.

Atkinson and Boore (2011)

You are correct, the Atkinson and Boore (2011) attenuation model is not included in the latest version of R-CRISIS. I will address your comment to the technical team and perhaps it will be available in further versions.

I appreciate your comments and suggestions.

Thank you for your preference and interest in R-CRISIS.

Best regards,

Dear Jackeline,

Atkinson & Boore (2006) attenuation model does not consider the adjustment by stress factor. The median intensity is calculated by using Equation (5) of the paper:

I hope this solves your question.

Thank you for your preference and interest in R-CRISIS.
