Hello while trying to open the Capra Island dat file i get this big error message. A similar error screen appears when i try to load any other dat file that i have created. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Nikos,

The CAPRA Island project has not modified, therefore, error messages should not appear. As a reminder, I suggest to you check this post:

Loading CAPRA Island

On the other hand, the error message you send to us is due to the sources geometry; it seems to have intersections between the segments. We can review it, in a general way, to identify possible errors, for that, you can send us the *.DAT file (together with auxiliary files) to r-crisis@ern.com.mx.

Thank you for your interest in R-CRISIS.

Best regards,

Hello again. It seems that the windows decimal seperator was set to comma (,) by default, and this was interfering with r crisis which uses dot (.) to seperate the integer from the decimal part. As a result the coordinates of the sources were not properly red by the program and the above error message appeared. Thank you for your help.

Nikos Vavlas, I have the same problem as you. How could you solve this?

Hello Bruno.

To my understanding, r-crisis uses dot (.) to separate decimals. Some computers have default setting, where they use comma (,) to do the same thing. This creates collision in sources since the coordinates can't be red properly.

If this is the case for you, you have to change the default settings from the control panel. I think it's in a tab called regional and language settings or something. A Google search should tell you how to do it.

If you are having trouble finding it message me.
