CRISIS Exceedance probability & Import .dat on a different pc
Giulia Alessandrini posted this 24 July 2020

Hello!

I'm having two issues. The first one concerns opening my .dat model on a different laptop. When trying to open it, I get the attached warning and I'm not able to open it. The two R-CRISIS are exactly the same (Ver 18.4.2). So, how can I open and/or work on a project that I saved on a different laptop?

The other question is about exceedance probability: I have read this thread http://www.r-crisis.com/search/?term=exceed%20probability&p=5 and I do have the same issue. I don't understand how can I swtich between different return periods and their associated exceedance probabilities. I read "To switch between different return period results, you have to specify the exceedance probability in the text box. In this way, you will be able to obtain seismic hazard results for more return periods than you specified before running your model" but the window you reffered to concerns the output, so how can I select it before my run? Also, once the run is done I can't select or write a different exceedance probability in this box.

Thank you so much for your help!

Giulia

CRISIS Sigma0 in GMPMs
Content_Manager posted this 04 May 2020

Dear Oscar,

The Sigma 0 checkbox is used in those cases where the PSHA calculation is carried out with a sigma 0.0 GMPEs. As you know, the GMPEs are treated as random variable with a mean and a standard deviation. If the Sigma 0 is checked, that probability distribution will have sigma 0.0.

If you desire to run a "no truncated" model, the Sigma 0 has to be unchecked this reffers to a different concept.

Thank you for your preference and interest in R-CRISIS.

Best regards,
