Hi R-Crisis team.

I have a question now. How to convert units for attenuation functions from different subduction sources and fault sources? If the subduction source uses the attenuation function with units (cm / s) and the fault source uses the attenuation function with units (g), I want to use the unit in (g). Thank you for your any help!

Best wishes!

Dear luthfi risqulooh,

if you want to convert the units of an attenuation relationship from cm/s/s to g , then you have to insert the value 980.665 in the units coefficient box while editing the cm/s/s attenuation model.

I assume there is a type in your original message since cm/s refers to velocity. If this is not the case then you might be trying to use two attenuation relationships where one predicts velocity while the other acceleration which this is an incorrect way to to build a model.
